Best news first - my job is now confirmed! :]] I'll be a careworker at a care home soon as, I'll get a call tomorrow or Thursday (hopefully - Kerry's never been good at keeping promises) to find out when I start and such. I'm really looking forward to it!
I also talked to WALKWAYS (Walsall's local counselling service) and I'll be getting regular appointments. I don't know what I have to talk about (not having a life, possibly?) but with any luck it'll be good for me.
And to top it all off, the OMGFTWBBQ BIKKI ACTUALLY LEAVES HER ROOM!!!1 myth is true (well, it'd have to be for me to go to work, counselling, and so on, but you know what I mean). I went to see Meg today (morti, I said hi to her from you because I knew you'd want me to, and she sends her love). I'd never been to her flat before, it's quite a nice little place. It was good talking to her.
Anyway, being as I'm returning to LiveJournal, what is LJ without memes? (nicked off billyhicks)
If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be?
So, here's how it works -
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc.)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
Opening Credits : Bic Runga - "She Left On A Monday"
(not looking good so far)
Waking Up : Lisa Loeb - "She's Falling Apart"
(appropriate in its way, but looking even worse)
First Day At School : David Bateman - "Stand Down"
(OK, that's much better)
Falling In Love : Ted Leo & The Pharmacists - "Me And Mia"
(take that as you will, a little confusing)
Fight Song : James Blunt - "One Of The Brightest Stars"
(that's not much of a fight song, therefore not much of a fight - better)
Breakup Song : Embrace - "Out Of Nothing"
(is a breakup song, no explanation required)
Prom : Katie Melua - "Call Off The Search"
(I like, I like!)
Birthday : KT Tunstall - "Black Horse And The Cherry Tree"
Last Day Of School : James Blunt - "Tears And Rain"
("I guess it's time I run far, far away" - how appropriate)
Life's OK : KT Tunstall - "Other Side Of The World"
(FTW, how is life OK!?)
Mental Breakdown : Embrace - "The Good Will Out"
(understandable, I s'pose, but it's not much of a breakdown)
Driving Song : James Blunt - "Cry"
(a bit of a strange one to listen to while driving, but I've plagued my parents with it, hehe)
Flashback : Britney Spears - "Hot As Ice"
(that's a good flashback, I think)
Get Back Together : Embrace - "Come Back To What You Know"
(couldn't be more appropriate)
Wedding : Britney Spears - "I'm A Slave 4 U"
(that's one helluva kinky wedding!)
Birth Of Child : James Blunt - "No Bravery"
(that's not very nice)
Final Battle : James - "Basic Brian"
(doesn't sound like much of a battle)
Death Scene : Spice Girls - "Bumper To Bumper"
(what kind of movie is this!?)
Funeral Song : James Blunt - "Close Your Eyes"
(can't really work this one out ....)
End Credits : Spice Girls - "Oxygen"
(that's actually a good choice, for once)
Hmm - same bands coming up again and again, makes me look a bit boring. I'm not, I promise!
See ya when I feel like updating again. :]
